You can register your student(s) with Arlington Public Schools (APS) online via ParentVue OR at the ASFS Main Office (call (703) 228-7670) OR at the APS Welcome Center (at 2110 Washington Blvd).

During online registration on ParentVue OR after you have received a ParentVue activation code from the ASFS admin office, please consider to opt-in to the ASFS PTA Directory. The ASFS PTA Directory allows parents to communicate with other ASFS parents and staff. The directory is only accessible to families within the school (via email registered in ParentVue). The PTA does not disclose the information to businesses or other parties.
How to:
Login to ParentVUE with your User Name and Password (first-time users will need an activation code from the ASFS admin)
Open the Online Back to School Packet link and follow the instructions.
On the Student tab, under the PTA Student Directory Opt-In, PTA Directory Participation, select ‘Opt-in to release family information in the PTA Directory.'
This must be completed for each student.

ParentSquare is the primary communications tool for all communications with your student’s teacher, ASFS admin, and Arlington Public Schools. All communications can be accessed in the app, online, by email, and text alerts.
Allows you to communicate with the school in your preferred language (two-way text with automated translation).
All parents and/or guardians are automatically subscribed to receive notifications through ParentSquare when they enroll their student. Individuals who do not activate their account in ParentSquare will still receive emails and text notifications when communications are sent. In the event of emergencies, phone calls may be sent as well.
-
ASFS has before and after school childcare onsite at the school. New families must complete the New Family Account Set-up form before being able to register. Usually, AM spots are more readily available. PM spots tend to fill up before school starts (waitlist).
Even if Extended Day is full, it is beneficial to get on the waitlist, as you will be eligible to register at an earlier phase for the following school year.
Detailed information available here: https://www.apsva.us/extended-day/extended-day-faq/

The ASFS PTA is offering the EduKit program as a convenient option to order school supplies for the 2026-27 school year. EduKits include the supplies approved by the school and will be delivered to your child’s classroom before the first day. The price per kit has been rounded up to the nearest dollar, with an additional $1 added to help provide school supply kits for ASFS students in need. (Note: you are not required to purchase school supplies through EduKit. School supply list is available on the ASFS website.)
Order by July 6 for the best pricing - EduKit order deadline is July 20
-
ASFS has breakfast, lunch, and Extended Day snack offerings daily, including vegetarian and halal options. MySchoolBucks is an online platform that allows you to add funds to your child's meal account, view their purchase history, and set up low-balance alerts. Families may apply for reduced-price or free meal benefits.
Detailed information on the school food program available here: https://www.apsva.us/food-and-nutrition-services/
