Annual membership dues support ASFS education programs and events to engage and connect our school community. Dues also support the local, state, and national PTAs. 

Our goal is to include all ASFS community members in the PTA. If dues are an obstacle, please select the PTA Sponsorship membership option.

  • Annual membership dues are used to support the numerous ASFS educational programs and events. Dues also support the local, VA, and national PTAs. 

    Your engagement helps to create a positive and nuturing environment for all! It also gives all members opportunities to develop meaningful relationships between families, teachers, staff, and other community members.

    While all are welcome to join PTA meetings & events, only members can vote on critical PTA issues.

  • Any family member, teacher, staff or other community member can join the ASFS PTA.

    If you want to be involved, we welcome you to be a part of the PTA!

  • Great news! You being a member doesn't require any time commitment from you. Besides filling out the membership form, there is no other obligation needed from you.

    We keep our membership and volunteering completely separate. Volunteering is an option, not a requirement to join our PTA.

  • We do not require you to attend meetings to be a member. It’s a great way for members to keep up with what’s going on and to meet other members, but not at all required.

  • Absolutely! There are many tasks that the PTA needs help with that can be done virtually and on your own schedule. We would so appreciate and happily accept any help that you have to offer.

  • Yes, each new school year begins a new PTA membership year. Your PTA membership will be good through June 30th of each school year.
