After-School Care Options

  • APS Extended Day ASFS has before and after school childcare onsite at the school. Usually, AM spots are more readily available. PM spots tend to fill up before school starts (waitlist). Even if Extended Day is full, it is beneficial to get on the waitlist, as you will be eligible to register at an earlier phase for the following school year. Detailed information available here: https://www.apsva.us/extended-day/extended-day-faq/

  • Baroody After-School Enrichment Classes take place at ASFS and are coordinated with the school administration for students to go seamlessly from the classroom to the Baroody enrichment options. More information will be provided soon on enrollment dates and program options.

  • Arlington Parks & Rec Break CampsArlington County updates these offerings regularly to match the APS school calendar - it is recommended to bookmark this page.

  • Merit School of Arlington‍ ‍Merit offers drop-in care for early release days (they have a bus that will pick kids up from ASFS and bring them to Merit) and full days off. If interested in learning more contact Ebone at dir.clarendon@meritschools.com
