Enrichment Updates: Berlitz Ending + Volunteer Urgently Needed

Two critical updates on ASFS PTA Enrichment Programs:

Berlitz Spanish is ending. Berlitz has decided to discontinue all K-12 school language programs starting with the 2026-2027 school year. This means our Before-School Spanish Enrichment program will not be returning to ASFS this fall. We're grateful for the years they spent teaching our kids, and we're already looking into alternative language enrichment options for ASFS. We'll share updates as soon as we have them.

PTA urgently needs a volunteer: Enrichment Programs Coordinator. This role oversees our Baroody partnership and is 100% virtual — a great way to contribute to the ASFS community without needing to be on-site. Responsibilities include:

• Selecting Baroody class offerings and approving the schedule

• Submitting requests to Arlington Rec for any outdoor classes at Hayes Park

• Coordinating fall-season paper flyers for the PTA back-to-school packet

• Serving as the point of contact for Baroody's on-site coordinator (the school will reach out if issues come up during after-school hours, though you don't need to be there in person)

• Working with Baroody to adjust the schedule as needed, and partnering with our communications team to extend registration or drive sign-ups if enrollment is low
